That’s why the Legacy Society for the Eastern Shore of Virginia Community Foundation is a special group we hope you will join. All its members have plans for future gifts to the Foundation to benefit our community.
Legacy Society members are positive, forward-thinking people with great ideas for making the Eastern Shore of Virginia an even better place to live. Some are planning scholarships for students; others will leave permanent bequest for the arts, human services or to support an array of non profits.
If you are planning a future gift (of ANY size) to the Foundation, we’d like to honor you with membership in the Legacy Society.
How do you join?
Just let us know you’ve included the Foundation in your future plans! Then the fun begins. We like to thank our donors personally, so we hold special events. As a Legacy Society member, you are always invited. You will learn new things, visit intriguing non-profits and meet interesting people, including other philanthropists living on the Eastern Shore.
You will also have the option of being listed among future donors in our annual report. If you prefer to join and remain anonymous, that is fine. You will still be invited to everything, and receive all our Legacy Society updates, but your name will not be mentioned in print or online.
